Our Vision for Ministry is:To be a unique place of worship where broken people can be renewed, reshaped and remixed with Christ and use their gifts to reach the world.
A Community of Restoration
The ReMix Christian Church (RCC) will be a place of restoration, a safe place for children, youth and all families. RCC will be a place where the body, mind and spirit will be ReNewed, ReShaped and ReMixed into a personal relationship with God. To the end, we become whole children of God, effective for serving individuals, families and communities.
A Diverse Community
RCC will be a community of believers that reflects the greater picture of diversity found in the Twin Cities area. We will reach out to people of all ethnicities and generations. We will have active and relevant cross-cultural and generational ministries. Our demonstration of worship to God will be diverse in styles, languages and forms, in light of the mosaic of ethnicities, nationalities and generations to whom we minister to and are a part of us. We will offer quality and effective ministries for all ages with the intent to foster both personal and corporate leadership growth.
A Community of Influence
RCC is called to be an influential community of faith in various church plant locations and sites. Our offered perspective will always come from the vantage point of an uncompromised, sincere and active gospel of peace which is spoken in love and acted out in righteousness with concern for the broken. We will express our influential perspective through community involvement, generous giving, family oriented ministries and other means as God provides the leadership and resources to do so.
A Community Committed to Multiplication
RCC is called to be an influential community in the Twin Cities and greater parts of Minnesota, USA and the World. We are called to multiply believers, disciples, leaders and locations establishing church plants that adapt in style to the various environments, cities and countries in which we will be sent to influence with the Gospel.
A Community of Leaders
RCC will be characterized as a community of believers invested in raising influential leaders in our various communities: men and women of identity who encourage and support one another. We will be a community that focuses on leadership development, leadership accountability and teamwork. RCC will be a training center for leadership excellence; we will recognize, reward and develop leaders and enable them in their distinctive talents to change the world for Christ.
A Community Dedicated To Spiritual Disciplines
RCC will be a community dedicated to bringing hearts in harmony via spiritual disciplines which connect us to God, our families and the community of faith. Our emphasis will be to provide vibrant gatherings characterized by diverse expressions of worship, prayer, fasting, teaching, preaching, Bible study, and giving. There will be various opportunities to participate in servant leadership with humble service to those of the faith and outside of the faith. As we gather for corporate worship and smaller groups our pursuit will be to become ONE body in many places united by our commitment to know God via spiritual disciplines and show love for one another.
A Missional Community
RCC will move as an action-oriented missional community: meeting needs around us, seeking to be involved in bringing justice, restoration and significance to those marginalized by society. Providing care ministries to those in need and fulfilling God’s mission individually and corporately by sending leaders to minister locally, nationally and globally.
A Community with Values
RCC will be a community driven by its purpose centered values. Our values will drive our decisions and commitments to fulfill our vision and mission. Our values aid the inspiration we receive by our God-given vision and mission and allow us to focus our goals to accomplish what we have been called to do.
Our Mission As Members of The ReMix Christian Church is:
To bring Hearts into Harmony for righteousness in action through Christ.
The ReMix Christian Church Values:
Obedience to the Word of God
God’s Word (law) is always in line with His vision and therefore His law is people preserving; He wants us to engage in relationship with Him because it is best for us. At RCC we are committed to obeying the word of God, because to keep His Word brings us fulfillment in life and transcendent joy. We illuminate the world with our Christ-like resemblance when we keep His law (obey) and show love for one another. Therefore we are committed to obeying the Word of God as the standard for our rule of life. It is our moral and spiritual guide and enables us to demonstrate His love for people. Proverbs 29:18, 1 John 1:6, John 14:15-18, John 15:9-10
Sincerity in Communicating the Gospel
The Gospel is good news about the person of Jesus, His words and actions. The Gospel is certified by what God the Father says about Jesus, the witness of the Holy Spirit and what His disciples said, did and continue to express about the truthfulness of the Gospel. At RCC we are committed to an uncompromised expression of the Gospel sincerely expressed through our commitment to using our distinctive gifts in service, discipleship, teaching, preaching and worship. 1 Thessalonians 2:3-5, 1 Timothy 1:5, 2 Corinthians 2:17, John 1:1-5, Matthew 3:17
We believe our purpose is to be Christ-centered and therefore we live purposeful lives when we emulate a life that is Christ-like not just in words but in deeds. We were made to do good works. We live in harmony with our community of faith and with God when our decisions are not driven solely by the passion to move forward as individuals, but also considering how we affect and can influence others. Therefore, we find purpose in serving those in need with our time, talents and treasures. Purposeful living is dynamic, we cannot be stationary. We will be a community in motion driven by God’s vision to preserve humanity via relationship: a relationship with Christ, the community of faith as well as engaging our culture to influence them to turn to Christ. Philippians 2; Romans 9:17; Ephesians 2:10; Joshua 24:15; 1 John 3:16; 1 Peter 2, Galatians 6:9-10
Humility in Serving
With a Christ-centered purpose in mind we are called to serve individually and corporately with humility, always exalting Christ. We serve others without exception, whether they are like minded in faith or not, we consider that sacrifice a joy, without grumbling or complaining. We hope that our genuine act of love reaps the reward of strengthened or new found faith in Christ. We serve in this way as an expression of our righteousness in action. It produces harmony within our community of faith and inspires those around us to do the same, to be like Christ as we are like Christ. Mark 10:44-45; Ephesians 4:2; Romans 12:16; Colossians 3:12; 1 Peter 3:8; 1 Peter 4:1-11; Philippians 2:13-16
As leaders we want to be servants first, we serve having others in mind. We are not high-minded because we have been called to serve, instead, with like mindedness making the most of every opportunity to do good by exercising humility. We work as a team enabling individuals to use their gifts within the framework of love through the Gospel’s lens. We honor and respect one another as we serve together, we value each other’ opinions; we cultivate a culture of trust, and develop future leaders encouraging them, as well as those we serve. Hebrews 13:7; Matthew 20:25-28; John 13:12-17; 1 Peter 5:1-14
Outreach to the Lost (Community)
Our intentions are to serve individuals, families and communities in humility while communicating the gospel clearly. RCC will passionately reach out to the community regardless of where they are in their faith or walk in life. Our hope is to welcome them into the Kingdom of God as we love them and meet their needs as God provides the resources to do so. We will develop genuine and loving relationships in our communities in order to demonstrate that the power and love of Christ is able to redeem His creation. We will develop and implement relevant and creative ways to engage people, hoping these will develop deep and meaningful relationships that will lead to conviction and acceptance of Christ in their lives. Romans 10:14; Matthew 28:19; 2 Timothy 4:2; Isaiah 52:7; 1 Peter 2:9
